I just bought UNKLE and Skinny today. First of i have to say i agree with
whoever was saying it earlier about the UNKLE hype. Ill even confess to
being sucked into it. Though i wouldnt go as far to say it was a bad
album. I really like a little over half the songs, but the songs i
dislike, i hate passionately. The MIKE D song is garbage. Then this other
fast song cant remember the name, sounds like crap as well, but lonely
soul rabbit in your headlights are dope! All i say is dont let the hype
cvatch you. Go listen to it first.
Instead Id recommend Skinny Weekend. I had heard this before, but just got
around to buying it. this is a dope album except fo like 2 songs i dont
like. The intro alone is enough to blow you away. The album is kind of
hard to describe, but i guess thats part of whats good about it. Anyeways
take a listen.
Also while i was in the store I heard 2 hoover phonic songs from their
new
album (according to sales clerk). Only problem was this one song i heard
was it was sooo dope sounded like Portishead at first, until the girl came
in singing "You have this starnge effect on me, and i like it" maybe i
didnt listen closly and long enough, or maybe she 's talking about
something else but if not, those have got to be sthe tritest. Though i
might buy it cause the beat behind this song is incredible.
