        Hello all,

I bought four brand new spanky CDs yesterday @ HMV.
There are as follows:

                1. MTV Amp 2 (MTV & Astralwerks: 1998)

An excellent (!) compilation based on the event, I believe,
from two months ago in the Bowery Ballroom with
Norman Cook and Alex Gifford of the Propellerheads, etceteras.
Includes the multi-banging Rockafeller Skank; Method Man;
Pigeonhed; Jungle Brothers; Air; Hardkiss (Abandon Ship!
Sharks and Mermaids.); Goldie with KRS One;
Pitchshifter; Adam F; Roni Size (Jill: So what if I thought
he was cute in the Modulations movie, albeit stoned?);
Propellerheads in Bang On!; etceteras.

A question: the remix version of "Sexy Boy"
(Sex Kino Mix) is it by Beck, of Odelay! fame?

And what is the new album with "The Rockafeller Skank" on it?

                2. Air, "Moon Safari" (Caroline Records: 1998)

Yummy French boy duo.

                3. Lauryn Hill, "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill"
                (Ruffhouse Records: 1998)

Good album, don't know it in depth
cuz I fell asleep last nite listening to it.

Ended up going to the Cooler last nite to see Q-Burns spin,
as a part of the Downtown Arts Festival.

Groovy visuals.

                4. Fat Boy Slim, "Better Living Through Chemistry"
                (Astralwerks: 1997)

Lokke: The eleventh track "Michael Jackson" is so phat!

Well, Soundlab is going to appear @ Macy's today around 6 pm,
as a part of the Downtown Arts Festival, odd eh?

I work in the nabe, so I'll prolly drop by.
I think it's on Level 1.5, where the new Levi's shop is.

Stay cool in this humid heat,
Y.
