I've been enjoying a CD by New Orlean's Flavor Kings called Kinky
Sandwich. Fun and funky. This is their somewhat raw first recording but
it's got the right elements for having a great time along the lines of
Galactic/Allstars. Heard them play once in New Orleans--a couple of the
original Meters were present--and wanted to get a recording. Someone on
the list--it's been a while so I can't recall who--gave me ordering
information. Also, check out Belizbeha's Charlie's Dream, if I'm
remembering the title correctly. A fun album and they've got a new one
out I've yet to acquire.

Finally picked up Jukejoint just recently. Excellent mix of vocals and
instrumentals with a nice variety of sounds from the R&B/soul/fusion
worlds.
