how about ronny jordan's So What

and GangStarr's sample of Night in Tunisia on Words I Manifest, though i
guess that's not a cover.

R U looking for new jacks doing covers, or any interesting covers???

Another that comes to mind - that I've always wanted to find out who did -
maybe someone can enlighten me:
That accapella album of Kind Of Blue, that has voices singing the melodies
and solos using invented lyrics... their cover of Freddie Freeloader is
amazing!

Subject: Compilations

I am making a compilation of the most interesting covers of several
standards. I have the Cannonball/Miles, a mambo version, Irresistible
Force and Coldcut doing Autumn Leaves. Any other suggestions? Who
actually did the first one?

NP: "Innercity Blues" -- Sarah Vaughn

Hmmm...this song has also been covered extensively when I think about it.
The Reuben Wilson probably being one of my faves and what the Tribe did
to that sample on Youthful Expression too! I'd be interested in hearing
some Gescom covers of the Marvin Gaye classic! ;)
