Well, I'm quite surprised (and happy) to finally check my email after
a busy weekend and see a muslimgauze line. First off, I actually am a
big fan of his stuff and I think Nathan (and others) misunderstood my
comments in my post. My use of the phrase 'fucked up' is positive in
nature. It means exactly that, but I like a lot of fucked up music.
I have a box set of his, several 12"s, several remixes, and they all
have a signature sound. One of the things I really enjoy about his
music (and others may not) is that its really really lo-fi(delity).
Wierd noises and channels droppin' out add to the dubbiness of it,
capturing the old Studio 1/King Tubby's sensibility in a post
punk/jungle world. Plus middle eastern sounds. Its truly unique.
Other Music in NYC stocks some stuff, though my advice is to always
listen first, and decide for yourself.

More people seem to be getting aware of him since he passed away
recently. A sad and strange thing that is, that people rush to find
out more about someone after he/she dies. But better than nothing.
