With all the knowledge, of course, about the whole record industry that this
list possesses, I think it would be appropriate for me to ask the following:
Does anybody know where one can get a distribution list for vinyl? I'm not
sure what this is exactly called, but it's a list that has all the records
that are out that month and where one orders from. It's where record stores
get their records.

Someone I know on another list recommended this site
and I'm using it now...The concept is that you enter a
record you're looking for, and they sniff out vendors
that have it available and for how much. Then you
order from the vendor, but on the same site...pretty
convenient so far. You can set parameters to filter
out CD/other media, backorders, imports/domestics,
etc. The filters don't seem foolproof, but are
definitely helpful.

I'll let you know if my purchasing experience is
particularly good or bad. :)
