p.s. THose of you in NYC: tune in to 89.9 WKCR, in honor of Indian
independence day, they're halving the whole weekend devoted to the music of
south asia. This includes a program on Qawalli tomorrow morning and a 4 hour
special on Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on Sunday.

Hey.
Can anyone give me any info on Ursula 1000? I keep hearing this "Mambo
1000" song (I think that's what it's called) on WRAS (the local college
station in Atlanta), and I think it sounds great. Does anyone have the
album? What does the rest of it sound like? Is it on vinyl? Are there
going to be any 12" singles?
And yes, I've already tried the Eighteenth Street Lounge website, and it
isn't quite updated with any of this info. Maybe Kevin England can hook me
up with the info; he does tangle with those ESL folks, right?
