Is it just me or has there been a lack of discussion about this disc? I picked it up last week on Loosegroove Records (Pearl Jam's Stone Gossard's label) and it's a tight tight
compilation of hip-hop, DJ tracks, funk and soulful singing from the likes of Cut Chemist, Aceyalone, Divine Styler, Jurassic 5, Styles of Beyond, Ozomatli, and more. There is not a weak track among the 15 or so here. And what's better is that the record is to raise money for music education in public schools in California. This is a shining example of hip-hop activism and something we should support. Good beats and a good cause! You can get more info on it from www.nomayo.org

Also, can anyone give me the 411 on the Quartet album?

And for the guy a while back who asked about the Cymande compilation, it is a 2 cd set containing their first 3 albums and some unreleased tracks. It's in (finally) at Dusty Groove. They also have two compilations on the Lafayette Afro Rock Band that may appeal to some of us out here.
