Sorry Steph' I got slightly carried away.

Thanks to y'all that got me to go back for Ohio Player's Fire, great
album, funk at its finest. The first track alone is worth the money.

Four and a half stars.

Grover Washington Jr's Feels so good. arranged by Bob James and
produced by Creed Taylor. Most of you probably know it Almost a classic
if only for the mad bass grooves and Steve Gadd's tight, tight, funky
drummer beat-business.

Four and a half stars.

Commodores, Machine Gun, crazy funk by these bad-asses Their first
album on Motown. Not one ounce of pop easy listening in sight all Funky
like second hand army boxer shorts.

Four stars.

Dramatics, Whatcha see is what you get, I really just thank God I heard
this album before I like died. Its that good. Soul at its most sublime.
The most natural blend of sophisticated soul I've heard in a long time.
Very beautiful vibes, a definite classic.

Five stars.

Places and Spaces Donald Byrd produced by the Mizell brothers. I bought
this on the strength of Wind Parade. I know people who will kill for
this track. When I first came to London 3/4 years ago there was this
tiny club in Ladbroke Grove called The Globe. Amazing club, the
clubbers were mad crazy, this old African man came every week in
slippers, sharing a spliff with his son. Another lunatic who turned out
to be a quite hot promo/ad director used go mental on the tunes the dj
played one of which was Wind Parade, they shut the place down after a
while...

Four and a half stars.

Keep on keeping on, later fellas.
