while we're on the subject, just thought i'd mention that i'm playing with
gilles on thursday night if anyone's in the cheltenham area. also ex-mc from
galliano will be on the mic.

has anyone bought jazz in the house-the spring collection? side f which has
guiro's free - the best track on the comp imo - is quite distorted on my
copy. just wondering if they're all like this or if mine's a duff pressing
    to send back.

some stuff i got recently that's well worth checking out, sorry i haven't
had a chance to do proper reviews:

    fila brazillia - brazilification
selection of fila remixes inc some real classics.

    v/a - central heating 2
    nice grand central compilation

idjut boys - saturday night live (nuphonic)
diverse selection from dubby house to classic disco. if you enjoyed the loft
    comp, you'll like this.

bah samba - black blood (estereo)
this is starting to grow on me, love the percussion.

    v/a - future world funk
one of the best things i've got in a long time. really diverse selection of
vibes all on a worldly tip. inc femi kuti, simon lee, stereo mcs.
    ***buy this record!!!*** http://www.tunes.co.uk/timewarp

nightmares on wax - keep on (warp)
    back on the hiphop tip.

friends from rio - cravo e canela
ig culture on the remixes. mad 6/8 beats.

st germain - tourist (blue note)
just as good as everyone has been saying. nice balance of house and
    downtempo tracks.

masters at work ft wunmi - ekabo
maw on the afrobeat vibe. very remenicent of tribute.

high & mighty - high performance
    quality hiphop

dsl - soothe your soul (chilli funk)
very nice with a great batacuta thrown in.

miguel migs - inner excursions ep. (nrk)
can't believe i passed over this before. every track's a killer.

    losoul - lies (classic)
funky techie production with prince-style vocals.
