    well, i guess it's quite much a personal opinion where the line is drawn.
    there's no doubt that jazz has always been an influence to many key
    producers (check Larry Heard's '92 song title 'On A Corner Called Jazz').

    could basic late 80's/early 90's deep house with flute/sax solos and jazz
    chords meet the criteria? how about explicit Nugroove sh_ like "Jazz
    Documents"? or the jazzy bits of Ultra Natι's "Blue Notes in the Basement"?

    you decide. in case you're really missing sleep, some people on list could
    probably come up with more striking examples of early jazz house fusions
    (take it away george!). ;-)
