Went to Jazz Cafe las' night (Hi Jay) checked out the
man Eric Truffaz. For those in the dark. This French
guy is a trumpet player on Blue Note who melds dnb
rythms into his music, his drummer one totally mad
french guy is something to behold he plays dnb rythms
like Blakey doing a 6/8 or Elvin Jones doing a
waltz... u know without the self-conscious contrived
    antics u could expect.

Bass player was sooo into the groove, he couldnt help
but wince. Piano/Rhodes player baaaaad. Truffaz
himself was cool his style is slightly reminiscent of
Miles' Agharta period... wah-wah and fast runs on the
horn. Nya supplied the rimes, rasta consciousness and
natural loveliness to make the gig one organic whole.

All in all a nice night out.

    Peace,

     T
