Damn, why can't I have mixed feelings about it? I like the album. I've
dropped "Spanish Joint" and "Africa" in several mixes. It's dope but with a
saccharin media coating. Follow that link, check the promo mix for
yourself. But I'm not gonna say it's a classic. Ain't no such thing as an
instant classic IMHO. You won't know it's a classic until you keep droppin
it on your kids (or grandkids) twenty years from now. The line, "Ain't no
justice, It's just us." is brilliant (head knod on "The Devil's Pie"). Are
the comparisons to Green, Gaye, Wonder reasonable? Maybe, maybe not. I
don't feel comfortable with them but I'm still learning. I retract that
D'Angelo not singin beyond himself. I shouldn't have implied that. But
that doesn't change my mind about the way he comes off in the whole hype
machine. Sign of the times, I guess.

    Paz,
    A Dario

I dunno maybe I'm just not used to rockin the Billboard number one in my
crib. But, you know, that's the way it should be.

Listen to The Devil's Pie the song encapsulates all
those themes u guys aren't listening with open ears,

u seem to be expecting what u already are used to,
free your mind and your arse will follow.
