    The planets were certinaly the group that used jazz well, especially
    their tour where they brough out the musicians (drums, bass, horns, I
    think keys and a DJ on the decks.) I would recommend their first
    album "reachin'...", wasn't too into "Blowout Comb".
    But, don't forget A Tribe Called Quest, who used the jazz bassist Ron
    Brown on "The Low End Theory". Who is with MC Solaar on the "Red Hot
    and Cool..."
