Hey all,
Bought Brazilian Beats over the WWW, received it yesterday, and,
although I've listened only twice, I think I'm ready to say what a bloody
dissapointment it has been. First of all I can not see what the Batucada
remnixed by peter heller is doing in this record (or in ANY brazilian music
record). The compilation has very good tracks, but they are in the minority.
I don't have names in front of me, but i get this feeling of "cheesyness" in
some tracks that bothers me big time. Anyway, that's just my oppinion and it
ain't worth much; but if you are thinking of getting this record try to
listen to it first, coz it might dissapoint you.
Also picked up Super Freak, by Pucho and the Latin Soul Brothers.
This one is very good, but I don't see the date of the recording anywhere.
