My friend showed me a Vice magazine photo and blurb about the Vestax VRX
2000 which is a DIY (do-it-yourself) vinyl-cutter! It looks like a
combination oversized turntable and lathe. I couldn't find anything at the
Vestax websites. Somebody please tell (and show) me more.

Currently, I am 32, married with children, living in Brooklyn, working in
Manhattan. As a kid in the San Francisco Bay Area, I used to buy 45s, but
my first 12" single was "Rapper's Delight." I got the DJ bug in 89 when I
heard De La Soul's "3 Feet High & Rising." I consider myself fortunate to
experience the glory days (IMHO, late 80s, early 90s) of hip hop and
participate in the explosion of worldwide dj culture. Some of you may
remember when club flyers never listed DJs. Oh yeah, I also designed lots
of flyers, promoted and produced clubs and shows when I was in San
Francisco.
