My name is DJ Neville Chamberlain (AKA Neal Becton) and I'm moving on
Monday (1/24) from Washington DC to LA to work at the LA bureau of the
Washington Post. I've spent all of five hours of my life in LA and know
exactly three people in all of Southern California so I was wondering if
any of y'all knew of any good spots to get (or see) gigs in the LA area.
I've been spinning for about 7 years (collecting records for over 20) and I
specialize in rare grooves, all sorts of brazilian styles, some dub, a wee
but of hip-hop, and pretty much anything funky. Any tips greatly
appreciated.
On another note I'm looking for housing on the westside. Any leads on
roommates or apartments for rent ($400-600 range) would be welcome. A
warning/incentive: I come with a few records.
Cheers everyone and thanks,
Neal

Five faves this month:
