    * a live acoustic performance by Atlanta's Soul ambassador ANTHONY DAVID
    - ANTHONY DAVID's descriptive lyrics, soulful delivery and funky guitar
    grooves made such an impression on Birmingham in March & May, that we just
    had to bring him back for a third performance. Anthony's performance
    captivates audiences by transforming elements of Soul, Hip-Hop, Blues & Folk
    into strong vocals, witty lyrics and groovy guitar licks. Anthony's
    well-loved songs "Krooked Kop," "Cold Turkey," & "Microphone Check Session"
    are recorded on his new EP "The Acoustic Mix Tape," which will be available
    on CD the day of the show.

    BIRMINGHAM HIP HOP MUSEUM OF ART presents
    HIP HOP PEACE FESTIVAL WEEK - JULY 25th-30th

    The cultural contributions of R&B and hip-hop music, coupled with
    educational and other youth outreach programs, will be the focus of
    Birmingham, Ala.'s Hip Hop Museum of Art.

    Slated to open in spring 2001 with groundbreaking set for Sept. 3, the
    museum will be part of the Magic City's burgeoning Fourth Avenue
    Historical District.

    Events will include a walk for peace, a celebrity golf tournament, a block
    party, a voter registration drive, a youth sports clinic, and the museum's
    first benefit gala/launching party at the Sheraton Civic Center Hotel.
    Proceeds from these various activities will benefit Mothers Against Violence
    and the Deneidra Foundation, an Alabama nonprofit organization dedicated to
    helping children with disabilities.
