ALBUM OF THE WEEK: After some tantalizing guest appearances on
compilations, as well as the soundtrack to "Next Stop Wonderland," Bebel
Gilberto delivers her full-length debut, TANTO TEMPO. The daughter of bossa
nova innovator Joao Gilberto and Brazilian singer Miucha, Bebel brings her
inherited vocal talents and international worldview to bear on this smooth
but sophisticated release. Co-produced by Suba, with guest appearances from
the likes of Amon Tobin, Thievery Corporation, and Carlinhos Brown, TANTO
TEMPO puts a modern perspective on the classic bossa nova sound. From
    Ziriguiboom/Six Degrees Records.
