more stuff happening this weekend!!
saturday night i'm @ 14 below (14th & santa monica bl. in s.m.) from
about 11 or 11:30 till close. mention that you're coming to see t-bird
and not only do you get in free, i make a buck on you!! there's some
bands that should be kinda fun (check their website www.14below.com)
before i go on. it should be pretty busy, and i'm there primarily to
keep the crowd there, but i'd like some of my people in the house, too.
also, sunday i will probably be subbing for shi-haude @ the room
hollywood (1626 cahuenga bl.--1/2 blk. south of hollywood bl. go around
the back). he usually plays trip-hop & such, so i will be doing my own
spin on that type of bag--great night for either chilling out, or
shakin' it fast--and showing me what you're workin' with!!
while i'm at it, the mondays at 360 (sunset & vine in
hollywood--www.360hollywood.com) are pretty cool. it starts about 8pm,
the cover is $10 for the poets--who are pretty tight!! i've been
dropping some nice transition beats between poets, and scratching w/the
band. if you miss the poetry--you really shouldn't--i'm rocking a mix
of hiphop, funky rare-groove and d&b. i actually got to bust some ragga
breaks last week, too. the dancing part (i.e., after 11) is free, for
you late-nighters.
don't forget that my buddy markman & i are gonna be "cookin'" every
tuesday in november @ 14 below--the 1st week we're gonna rock a 2x4 set
which you don't want to miss--especially if you haven't seen us play
like that before!!
