I saw Ursula Rucker last night and it was something
profound, deeply organic and still stretching the
medium a little bit. Not in terms of polyrhythmic drum
programming (just a trio of guitar, bass and
percu-drummer a la eric truffaz's percu-drummer), but
more like a subtle stamp on the whole poet/MC/singer
thing... it was a trip. I was on the side and charlie
dark was there filming proceedings on his digicam, and
bobbing his cypher, lost in the music.
