a little while ago Velanche asked about New year's Eve goings on and who was doing what where. For any of you who might be interested in New Year's Eve stuff in San Francisco, if you go to www.anonsalon.com you can get all the details of Sea of Dreams 02 and there is really a lot going on. I played this event for these same folks last year and it was a barn-burner of an event, in fact every party I have played for them has been really good, although in my opinion they have too many DJ's and I never get to play quite enough! This year I have been assured that I will get more time since I will do my usual gig of DJ'ing around the live acts and also doing a real downtempo chill set at the after-party.

I would love to know about all the events all of you on the list are playing at and also to invite any of you who will be in San Francisco to come to the Sea of Dreams. The live music will be stellar and I cannot recommend Foxgluv highly enough to this list! This band is a great example of the newer paradigm of live musicians connected by modern sampling technology and beats, if you can find their discs I highly recommend getting them although I only have them on vinyl not CD! Lost at Last has had their debut CD re-released on a "major" label, Windham Hill which is now part of A&M but I think the re-release is a bit over-produced for my taste, a little too crisp and clear, I liked some of the murkiness of their own production efforts a bit more!

    Cheers
