So what I have done is to post the song "Christmas Day": Oscar Jordan Jr. and you can hear it playing in the backround, right on the main page of the Soul-Patrol.com website at the following link...

I am always left in a quandry on just how to celebrate Christmas on Soul-Patrol.
Each year I try to come up a little something different :)

One year I focused on James Brown's Christmas album
Another year I posted (and emailed out) a wonderful poem written by an Urban Sounds member about P-Funk and Christmas (I can't find it anymore.....lol)

Well this year I decided to come at Christmas from a "Blues perspective" and also get some help from our own Oscar Jordan Jr.

Some of you might remember the review that I posted of his new CD entitled "Mr Bad Luck"
Here is what I said about track #10 in that review...

    >>* CHRISTMAS DAY
A modern day classic that I am sure will become a part of everyone's holiday
    tradition :)
This song is a FUNKY as a four dollar bill
As FUNKY as a backed up sewer, in the middle of winter
FUNKIER that Bill Clinton walking down the streets of Harlem in a Red, Black
    and Green Liberation Jumpsuit
    It's a FUNKY as....
(well you get the idea )<<

The song reflects my current mood just about now.
It's been one hell of a year for all of us in the larger sense and for me on a personal level.
I'm NOT about to pretend that it was a good year!
I'll be GLAD AS HELL TO SEE THIS YEAR COME TO AN END!!!!!!!

    Merry Christmas to you all
(and maybe next year this time things will be looking a whole lot brighter)
