    Holdsworth was with Gong, Soft Machine in the '70s, then later with the Tony Williams Lifetime and Bill Bruford. He also did some solo work on his "SynthAxe." My personal favorite of his efforts was with Bruford.

    Phil Collins helped found Brand X with John Goodsall. He shows up on most albums, later almost as a cameo appearance, but only really contributed in the crative efforts on Unorthodox Behaviour (76) and Moroccan Roll (77).

    I'm not so familiar with Bill Connors, other than that he was with Chick Corea's Return to Forever.
