I'm going to be sacreligious and say that i like my
stantons just fine for home use, on my
    beat-but-healthy, very used 1200s. *shrug* I haven't
ruined any records (I change the styli every 6 months
to 1 year depending on usage), I don't scratch, and I
don't need absolutely perfect, pristine or loud sound
in my apartment just for listening and practicing, so
they suit me ok and the price is right. when i buy
equipment i hold back the temptation to get the
biggest and most expensive stuff by simply asking,
"will i actually make use of this feature? will i
notice a difference? Will it improve my quality of
life?" Ortofons will not improve my quality of life.
the extra records i can buy with the money i save,
    will!!
