With the space shuttle Atlantis finally on it's way to the International
Space Station, we can all relax and listen to some good tunes tonight
'cause the ISS is gonna have an airlock so its crew can do some much
needed spacewalking. (nice!)
in other news, BiS at Plant got written up in the Village Voice this
week... check near the bottom of the email for the link to that. very
exciting, although it's still usually just me scratching up tunes for
the bartenders and empty bar stools. hehe.
albums that have been rockin' it in the BiS studio :: Susumu Yokota with
Grinning Cat on Leaf. I always really love Susumu Yokota's stuff and
this one doesn't dissapoint. very ambient, very lovely.... Madrid De Los
Austria with their Amor LP on Sunshine. Lot's of latin flavored beats
that'll get your head nodding and your feet moving. check out the new
Boozoo Bajou LP called Satta on Stereo Deluxe just because the packaging
is so cool. the vinyl LP comes in a stiched bag. Prefuse 73 with his
Estrocaro EP on Warp is another to keep an out for. cut up rap vocals
with nice idm meets hip-hop sounding beats.
Beats in Space is broadcast every Thursday on 89.1 FM from 10:30pm to
1:00am in the nyc tri-state area.

and houston) before the Gasface Re:fill party each tuesday night...
afterwards are DJ's such as P-Love, the Allies, 5th Platoon and the
turntable lab crew. it's a nice little party, so stop by if you can.
wednesday's ::: 7 to 10:00 pm at Plant Bar (E. 3rd st. between ave. B &
C). guest DJ's weekly, and some really nice parties happen afterwards.

On Friday July 20th I'll also be playing at the Organic Grooves party at
the Frying Pan. This is a great venue if you haven't been there, with a
