Check out my post on July 12... <Lab Report 26.01 | Abstract Science-Chicago>
check it out on the archives if you already deleted it.
i do a review of the latest colourforms test press...

Om-Records has yet to get the Colourforms website up and running, but
at least they acknowledge its existence now...with a link on
    www.omrecords.com

OLD jungle...Big Up All the jungle ravers all over the place. Tune's
    from 95 and before...
Sorry I don't remember all of the labels, but a lot of them are
defunct and I don't have my records in front of me at the moment.

    1. Omni Trio - Nu Birth of Cool-Moving Shadow
<epic, intricate, beautiful...plus the only song I've ever heard to
use a time-stretched snare for the melody line!>

    2. UK Apache & Shy FX -Original Nuttah-S.O.U.R.
<this is the definition of jungle>

    3. 2 player-extreme possiblities (wagon christ RMX)-ninjatune
<from the fattest downtempo into cut and paste madness> (coldcut did
a live remix of the wagon christ RMX during their last tour leading
me to believe they are 2 player...)

    4. Rupert French-Lazy Summer Nights-Penny Black
    <jazz jungle at it's best>

    5. Adam F - Circles-?
<deep, yet slammin' all at one time>

    6. Prizna feat Demolition Man-"Fire (Urban Takeover Mix)"-on Rebel MC's label
<best ragga tune ever. period. see if YOU can figure out the lyrics. >

    7. Ray Keith-Screaming Strings-Dread
<tuff runnin' beats into a brilliant George Benson-esque guitar solo>

    8. Dj Flash-Pulp Fact-Urban Guerilla
<samples pulp fiction monologue 'you will know me name is the
lord...' one week after its US premiere! still haven't figured that
one out. still one of the darkest tunes ever.>

    9. LTJ Bukem-Demon's Theme-Good Looking
<from 1991. 1991! damn he was ahead of the game! still his best song>

    10. Levitivus-The Burial-V Recordings
<big, hot and heavy. perhaps one of the first soul driven jungle cuts>

    11. Northern Lights-The Bounce-?
<brilliant melancholy solo piano breaks with unbelievable drops>

    12. Elementz of noize-Chillin' on the Funk-sour
<KRS-ONE sample with one of the earliest two-step jungle beats, "yes,
yes, yes, chillin' on the funk, let the funk ride, let the funk ride,
    ride, ride, come on">

    peace,
    Chris
