Happy birthday to us, happy birthday to us.......etc.

It's hard to believe, but true: FreeFall is officially one year old
(and what a year it's been...! ) Don't think for one minute that I'm
going to get all sentimental on you or anything, but I've just
whipped up a pan of brownies to take down to the studio along with a
couple of candles (just for atmosphere, of course) and my party hat
to celebrate the blessed event.....of course the 'proper' thing to do
would be to offer up some kind of retrospective of the best music
from the past 12 months, but I was so busy listening to new releases,
I didn't have time to run around the house searching amongst the
piles while clutching a year's worth of playlists....maybe later.

Coming up this evening are long-awaited albums from New Sector
Movements, AtJazz and Osunlade, the luscious new album from Block 16
and "Beamer," the second release from Spacer (AKA Luke
Gordon)....there's also jazzy house from French producer Llorca,
funky downtempo from The Rurals and yet another fab new French
offering from Alexkid....finally, we'll sample the hard-to-find CD
from Raw Deal, get deep and soulful with Syleena Johnson, shake our
bon-bon to the new Abstract Latin Lounge compilation, check out
techo-pop from Slam and Kosheen, then get all moody and dark with the
    latest Tindersticks album....

All in all, it should be a pretty good birthday and you're invited -
10pm Pacific on KUSF....check the URLs below.

Until next week, ciao for now!

    David
