we had a certain esl group come dj at a party and they sucked. thet
where the oppisite thou, producers gone dj to cash in on their fame.
good selection but bad skills...alot of people left cause it was just
so so. the truth is they played alot of songs the local talent would
ply, dope stuff, but couldn't mix the stuff.

good selection, bad skills = less than great party

i have experience the flip side, no skills, good selection = rockin
    party

i still think both is best.
why strive for one of the two when both are attainable?
the only reason i see for not working on skills is laziness.
i'm not trying to call people w/o extrodinary skills lazy, just those
who don't work on thier skills and say "selection is all thats
    important".
