    Aw yeah, this is it y'all, heavy heavy with the turn-it-up-loud pumping low end, the raw beats, and the tasty textures, everything u want and have to have.

    It's out now on Ropeadope records, (Atlantic imprint), and the here's the lineup;

    Ahmir ?Love Thompson (The Roots, D'Angelo, 2 many more 2 name); the afro gets bigger every year, the beats get fatter, and is this guy the drummer of the century or what?

    Christian McBride on bass, his jazz roots don't keep him from getting as nasty as he needs to be in the lowest of regions.

    Uri Cane on Fender Rhodes, Hammond, and Steinway (the classic keys trifecta). Aww, he's not Herbie, but you oughta know he's well funky enough.

    Then, you've got the supporting cast of legendary guitarist Pat Martino, and additional help from Jon Swana (trumpet) and Larry Gold (cello).

    Now, if you haven't already left to the record store, the track listing includes compositions by Sun Ra, Marvin Gaye, Eddie Green, and (ouch) Elton John (Philadelphia Freedom, of course!) as well as the funked up, souled-out originals.

    SHAMELESS PLUG. If you like this, let me know, 'cuz you're bound to feel my latest project, Modern Groove Assembly, what with the pimpified beats, jazzfunky textures, (and shorter solos). More info soon come. Get on the mailing list while we still have stamps!

    The Philadelphia Experiment. Makes you wanna see Bernard Hopkins go off as an 8 to 1 underdog and punk Tito Trinidad to a pulp. Go Philly!

    (Makes you wanna turn your lights off at 7 on the summer solstice and evesdrop on Stephanie and all her sexy friends!!! mmmm.... Go Philly!)

    (one final tip y'all.. Micky D's has a bratwurst special.... avoid it. you'll be glad ya did...)

    One more time. Go Philly!
