    I definitely got away from mainstream radio pretty early. Late high school I started listening to two local college stations. One had a fairly progressive format, the other went all over, but featured a jazz-fusion show. I far preferred that to the mainstream jazz played by another university station.

    When I got into college I got into New Wave. Kraftwerk and New Order were a part of that whole scene, but it wasn't until much later that I really got into electronica. I still remember going into what remains my fav pizza shop and Orb's Adventures was playing. Slowly it's just exploded from there.

    Now the loop recloses as I rediscover the jazz elements. I find myself looking up groups I had long forgotten. Kinda cool when I think about it.
