    this is an age-old problem: artists spends years honing their craft,
    writing and performing their songs and make a tremendous debut - then,
    they're contractually obligated to follow up with a second release the
    following year...the pressure is enormous and the results are often
    disappointing, which is why many artists don't really come into their own
    until their third or fourth albums, if at all.
