We set our clocks back last weekend, meaning that: a) fall is now
official and b) labels will be unloading some heavy hitters on the
record-buying public. Here's what we've got cooked up for this week:

Tweak: "Hybrid Organics" - I really dug 'Fathorn' off the most recent
Straight Ahead compilation and had high hopes for the full-length.
Needless to say, I was not disappointed - this is one of the most
interesting albums of the year. The work of one Cyril Boehler,
'..Organics' has a big jazzy sound with phat beats (both broken and
not), funky keys and atmospheric soul.

On the drum 'n' bass front, Certificate 18 weighs in with two new
titles - the latest efforts from Polar and DJ Teebee, while LTJ
Bukem's Looking Good imprint release their second label compilation,
    "Looking Back 2."

Ubiquity is on a roll with Kirk Degiorgio's As One project, the
Interfearence album and "Life Mirrors" from Beatless, while Beggars
Banquet comes up with their own triple threat in the form of the
latest David Axelrod effort, a best of Colourbox disc and a sampler
from the Sulphur label whose artists create music that run the gamut
from acoustic warmth to icy electronica.

"Amethyst Rock Star" from Saul Williams is finally out after much
delay and offers up a potent mix of poetry and rock, while Femi Kuti
follows in his father's footsteps and gives his music a political
    edge on "Fight To Win."

On the singles front, Planktonman is the latest member of Tijuana's
Nortec Collective to get a domestic release. " 4-Zeenaloas" is
infused with hypnotic rhythms that also have a sense of humor.
<<rinocerose>> has a new 12' and fans are encouraged to head for the
B-side and check out 'Professor Suicide' and 'Bloodsport' (recorded
live, somewhere....). If you liked 'Earth' by Wagon Cookin,' you'll
enjoy 'Primer Plato Con Cuchara,' another long, jazzy workout on the
    Fender Rhodes.

Of course there's more, but isn't there always?

    Ciao for now,
    David
