    Hey All,

As for me, all I did was dance, dance and dance at every event I went to (just about).  On my first night in Miami (Saturday) I went to Crobar.  HORRIBLE!  It was the Release party and I know those guys from up in the bay.  Then I finally got up into the "VIP" area where Marques Wyatt was spinning, I tried to dance but there wasn't enough room and being down stairs listening to "Prog House" had drained more of my energy than paying paying $50 at the door had dented my pocket book.  What really made me mad was that I was on the list for the King Street party that same night, so when I finally made it there (Goddess) I was home!

As far as the Naked Music party, I rather enjoyed it.  SOrry, I'm just that way, I went there planning to take a break from dancing as I was involved in another party that night and wanted to save my energy.  That didn't happen.  I ended up running into a group of dancers I'd been running into at every party and we took to the stage for a minute.  Next thing I knew, it was six hours later and time for me to get myself to the event I had to be at.  I'm not the best at self control when it comes to dancing.

A highlight of the conference for me was definitely the Bugz in the Attic event on the Sony rooftop Sunday Night!  If you were there you got to see super-crazy Kaidi Tatham banging on drums and keyboards live while the likes of Mikey Stirton of Bugz, Seiji, Orin 'Afronaught' Walters, Phil Asher and a rare Staeside appearance from Dego of 4hero went on at the decks.  Super nice.

I went to the Bossa:Nova/Compost event and passed out as many flyers as I could while dancing, dancing and dancing (again) It's an old habit of mine!  One super-skinny Afro-Cuban kid dancing up a storm at nearly every event!  One exception was VIkter Duplaix actually turning down the music to tell a group of groovers that they couldn't dance in a circle.  Buzzkill Deluxe.  I was thinking to myself that if you don't like people to dance, you MAY be at the wrong conference and for that matter, the wrong line of work.  And to think, I actaully helped book his last promotional tour.  My feelings were a little hurt, but I suppose it was a bit crowded for what they were doing.  At that point I went over near the front door to shake a little booty.  The one problem I had with that party was that I really went there to hear the Jazzanova crew, Charlie Dark and Bugz in the Attic.  It was supposed to be one of the v! ery few events that weren't house music (again) it didn't work out that way however.  King Britt spun an excellent house set, but it was still more house.  Charlie Dark spun that CRAZY stuff that he always spins and had the party rockin'!  By the time Seiji from Bugz got on the decks, someone from the venue stuck their head in the DJ booth window and gave the cut cut CUT signal a few times, party over.

Jazzanova performed again poolside at the Albion on my last day there.  Not many people and even less vibe, than suddenly there was some other DJ playing and it was over for me.

I too met a lot of people I only know via the internet and that was the best part of it all!

In closing - South Beach Miami - Silicone and Steoids as far as the eye can see with a little really good music sprinkled throughout.
