    me too. and further:

the comment from the article about every club having
cd players in COMPLETELY inaccurate. i WISH every
club had cd players. the good ones (i.e., pioneer)
are still pretty expensive ($1k per? you can get 2
    1200s for that!!).

the other comment/point of view i take issue with is
the disdainful attitude toward mixing with cds. i've
    got a gig where there's 1 cdj1000, and i'm still
learning how to use it properly (i only get to mix
    w/it once a week). i've been dj'ing for 13 years
(longer than most djs i meet these days), i mix,
scratch and beat-juggle, so i'm not getting rid of my
1200's--ever--but that pioneer's got something to say
for itself. if you haven't tried it, do yourself a
favor and remedy that situation--you might be
    surprised...

    full disclosure:

i haven't tried the final scratch system. needing a
laptop is a pretty nasty downside. NO WAY am i taking
a computer to my DJ gig. i'd be pissed as all get out
if someone ganked my cds or vinyl. snag my computer?
    someone's getting taken out!!
