    If you could assemble the allstar funky-jazz band right now, to serve as
    your "backing" group when you produced these tunes for pop artists (like
    the ones you mentioned below), who would they be?

    I'm going with "second stringers" or former glory players, but I'm picking

    Blackbird MacKnight - guitar (Funkadelic, Herbie Hancock)
    Bernie Warrell - keyboards (P Funk AllStars)
    Zack Danzinger - drums (Great Underground modern jazz drummer)
    Doug Wimbish - bass (Living Color)
    Duncan MacKay - trumpet (Primal Scream)
