The list admin here with some news on the list setup:
Our aj list is now restricted, meaning only *subscribed* accounts may
post to the list. If a non-subscribed address attempts to send mail to
the list, a explanatory notice will be returned.
I belive this will prevent some of the spam and viruses we see from time
to time. However, there are some serious drawbacks with this policy.
For example, those that only subscribe to the digest mirror
(http://www.cmd.uu.se/AcidJazz/FAQ/MailList.html) or read the mails at
the online archive (http://www.cmd.uu.se/AcidJazz/Backup/) will not be
able to post to the list without some extra effort. This includes some
of the forwarded messages we get through other lists.
However, I have carefully considered this issue, and hopefully my
decision is the right one. If this affects you and you wish to be able
to post to the list without having to subscribe, contact me and I belive
I will be able to work it out.
