I'm not quite at home here yet, but trying. I wish I knew about this
    list 5 years ago.

I'm a currently a "lot" more active on the downtempo list on yahoo,
though I prefer this format better.
The reason I'm more active on the downtempo list, is that most of the
time there is a really interesting conversation going on, not just
promotions. We all pepper those in from time to time. The conversations
and "healthy" debates can get really exciting and we are all replying
faster than we can read. There are those of us, like here, who are a bit
more opinionated, but we all show respect towards each others opinions.

I moderate a closed private list as well which I just love, we've kept
every member so far at 50 people. it's usually very peaceful and
    everyone knows the other.

I've highly enjoyed "this" list and have met a hand full of very
interesting folks (off list) from this list. I tell Greg that this list
is a bit intimating to me at times. Maybe because so many of you from
overseas and there are tons of music you guys chart that I've never even
heard of. Tons of stuff.its very hard for me to keep up. I'm stoked
there are some Codek, Upstairs Recordings, Freerange and Pulver fans
    here!!

The Create Soul Brothers newsletters have to be one of my favorites as
well as a hand full of DJ's who share their charts with detailed
description of the songs. It makes me think these folks are truly
feeling the music verse trying to be the first to chart the newest
    release.
It's not really important to me how old a song is.

Props to the "eclectic" contributors here!

    Christina
