    >Speaking of Remy Shand,

I caught the video on VH-1 the other day. Now, I like this one. It has a
sort of Stuart Matthewman flair to it.

    listen to the instrumental of
    >"Take A Message" on the 12".

I wonder if the Instumental is available on CD?

      That's definitely
    >something to chillout to. I do think the dance remix
    >is lousy, but that's just me.

I'm with you. I really like that CD by Soulstice -Illusion- but detest the
Remix CD. I dunno but remixes for the most part in this genre have been let
down's. Just recently purchased -Dub Life- on Shadow Records and I friggin
    love that.

All in all my Anti-Disco stand, I grew up in that period and I really didn't
like it a'tall. Redeaming qualities, Barry White, Lonnie Liston Smith
though I would consider either Disco though Barry has said call it what you
will it is music to him. I liked what Barry did. I also liked that song
"Shame" by Evelyn Champagne King specifically for its Sax Soloing. Brother's
Johnson "Strawberry Letter 23", Louis Johnson ROCKS!!!. Brick's "Dazz"
(a.k.a. Disco Jazz), now that is precisely what I like, specifically the
long version. But for the most part being a teenager during that period
really wasn't pleasant. Morphing so-called Disco into New Wave, a example
of something I really liked was Naked Eyes "Promises, Promises". 1977-1980
were the years I was in High School and I was the only guy from my
neighborhood who could/would dance at the High School Dances. I danced
because I like girls yet Disco was all the rage, it wasn't me but I would
light up whenever the DJ would play Mother's Finest "Baby Love", "Burnin'
Love", "Hard Rock Love" or I would go into a trance when they played Brick's
"Dazz" long version that is. Intentions were not meant to offend but I have
little sympathy for Nile Rodger's being upset because a few people couldn't
take that music and that polyester culture shoved in their faces constantly.
I'll sit back and reflect on this one a little more.

    Semper Motociclismo,

    Pace'
