    I remember when this was basically "underground"! It played fairly unnoticed
    in clubs for a year before people accepted the fact that little Michael
    Jackson had grown up, and with the help of Quincy Jones had done something
    quite remarkable.

    The rock world, the pop world, and the disco world all shunned Michael (kind
    of the same as today) because he was a child star. . .and it took a while
    before he was accepted in the mainstream. I grew up idolizing him, so I was
    always faithful -- but got laughed at when I told people about this "new"
    sound he had.

    I had this record for two years before it got any air play on the radio. By
    the time the songs started to hit number one, I was tired of it.
