STYLIN - Rare grooves, hi-tech jazz and other worldly fusions
Friday afternoons 12-2pm RRR 102.7FM, Melbourne
Live online - http://www.rrr.org.au/index2.html (see below for times)

    Hello all

After buying his Glucklich and other compilations, after enjoying his
productions first with A Forest Mighty Black and more recently with Truby
Trio, and after drooling over his Straight No Chaser charts, it was good to
finally speak to Rainer Truby. And interesting to find out that he has a
similar digging background to me (getting into rare groove through hip hop).
Glucklich 5 has just landed with more Brazilian-tinged grooves and soon to
come are Truby Trio remixes of Wagon Cookin, and Freeform and Nicola Conte
remixes of Truby Trio. Hopefully, we can see him down under very soon.

Speaking of Nicola Conte, there he was in Trainspotters' Corner again.
Calling his remix of Eli Goulart the "Bossa Ahead" remix was a nod to the
tune he based it on, "Fred's Ahead" by the Salvador Trio. First released in
1966 on Mocambo, this great bossa trio record has now been made available to
    us mortals thanks to whatmusic.com.

This week it's pure Norwegian representation with Andy from Jazzland Records
(Beady Belle, Bugge Wesseltoft) and Espen Horne, the man behind Bobby Hughes
    Combination.

    until then
