I'll be in DC for a week, Sat Oct 19 - Fri Oct 25, and it looks like I'll be
making a little appearance at the Abstract Motion wednesday at Five. LR, you
still here?? Any recommendations very very welcome, especially things to do at
night, record stores, and please please, if you know a good pupuseria, esp.
within the reach of public transpo, let me know!

And isn't that a nice segue into the latest exotic travel request. I'll be
going to the beautiful home of the humble pupusa, El Salvador, in November.
I'll have a native guide (my dad!) and I'm sure my cousins will know of some
cool stuff to do, (one of them was in a salsa band last time I went) but if any
of you are aware of some must-sees, please let me know. From what I understand,
there's been a migration of LA Salvadoran gang activity back to San Salvador.
How true is this? Elson, maybe you know? I'm hoping that with the bad came the
good and maybe there has been some musical cross-pollination as well. Local
culture is awesome, but I don't think I can listen to Yolocamba Ita for 2 weeks!

Thanks as always, you wild, worldly bunch.
