    i've NEVER felt that way. however, i've often been
    really bummed out that often people will go for the
    watered down version of things (e.g., "i like jazz, i
    listen to kenny g!").

    no argument there, but also, how many people were into
    "on the corner", "om", or "sextant" when they came
    out, and how many people are into them now? i think
    you'll find the numbers swelling even outside of
    musician circles...

    a lot of good stuff gets traded in at used record
    stores, too (remember where i work, man!), but i'm
    with you on the bargain bins...

    true, but the determining factor isn't popular
    taste--i'm really feeling that "intrinsic value"
    deal...
