This was one of the people who really opened my ears and heart up to
sounds and rhythms that are now a part of my daily life and virutally
every set that I spin! It grieves me mightily that this genre seems to
have a penchant for devouring it's own and to say I am saddened by this is
putting it mildly, sadness is just one of the emotions I have run through
since I heard this news last night and I am still kind of numb because of
it! My heart goes out to his family and to the legions of people who found
their way to the heart of a kind of music most of them would probably have
just dissed had it not been for this man who wove the spells needed to
bring people into the realm of his musical magic. Now he is truly larger
than life!
