Has anyone on the list tried tuning into
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra

Its the bbc's all new urban radio station being broadcast
on digital radio, satellite and online. It launched about
2 weeks ago. I've been listening to it on my tv - makes
a nice new use for that box... too bad the satelitte tv/radio
cant hook up to the webcam in the studio.

Just wondering if anyones heard it
what you all made of the format,
    the music
    the presenters...

I've made a silent mental note that it seems unusual for
Urban music to be on a station that is not readily accessibly
through radio, and that if you live in a council estate (the projects
to Americans on the list) that being hooked up to satellite or
cable and owning a computer arent necessarily the biggest
priorities on your list for listening to a new radio station...

On the other hand, digital is the future, so its brilliant that
1xtra is online as well (whether or not they are paying CARP
    is another issue...)

Was also wondering how many on the list have ever tuned into
http://www.jazzfm.com The format is farily quiet storm, but
they do have some great evening programming after "dinner jazz"
finishes and some great weekend interviews with various jazz
greats. Just curious because jazzfm claims they have the largest
online listening audience and every day they read out emails from
    texas, australia, hong kong....

    call me curious xx
