What a busy, wierd, crazy year!

Highlights; *The Rebirth* at Bounce Rock Skate... masterful recordings, and a very nice live show... a band that, imo, needs and deserves your support! Featuring Carlos "Loslito" G. on keys, (also of the Breakestra)... he is the man...although he'd be the last to tell it...

"This Journey In" featured on Gilles P.'s latest comp, as well as King Britt's. Check for new tracks in mid December.

    * Star 69 * at Bounce Rock Skate. A blazing hot live show, from a group that is bound to take over the world in '04. 3 amazingly talented (and fantastic looking) ladies who all write, play, produce. Word is they just wrote and recorded 14 songs produced by none other than Ali Shaheed M. They will be putting out the top 10 songs soon... They are the creme de la creme of background singers, but this is their own thing... Watch for them...

(PS... Sy Smith story... She played us a track that she did that was as SWEET as anything you've heard from Floetry, Jazzyfatnastees, etc... only it didn't have a rhythm track. I said, "Sy, what is that, when did you do that?" She said, "Oh, we were at a session, and I got tired of waiting around in between takes, so I went into a room next door and just did it..." Keys, multitrack harmonies, just... SICK! That's the kind of talent you're dealin' with here, cubed!)

    ya heard it hear first...

More bands / artists from LA to watch out for...

Koopa Jones, (amazing amazing talent... he's a security guard at Hollywood and Highland.... and he rocks stages... Hoodie Smith, Orgone, 4th Avenue Jones, Medusa and Feline Science, and some more bands that I'm probably forgetting... sorry about that...)

and of course, LA's sending out 2 of its sexiest ladies to a very large venue near u, that's Macy Gray w. Sy Smith, on tour w. legendary David Bowie!!!

Lowlights... MGA at Bounce Rock and Skate... what a horrible night. "Hey man.... that's a vintage instrument... what are you doing.... SNAP there goes the leg of the Rhodes.... " I hope the 2 people in the audience didn't notice!!!!

We love LA... See ya next year!
