Speaking of Nuyorican Soul....I heard a bomb remix last night of "I am the
Black Gold of the Sun"...drum and bass feel...does anyone know who did it?

            Hyia people,
in brief my recent listening,in no particular order
-Erika Badu (the red cd...2001)can not find the cover sorry
-D'Angelo (the black cd...2001)can not find the cover sorry
-Nuyorican soul (that is a really well thought and amazing
cd...bellissima,bellissimaaaa) found it second hand, I wonder how can anyone
part with this pearl,my imagination goes wild
-Stevie Wonder LP talking book, songs in the key of life LP (i think
there you can find a lot of recent soul funk hits.THE ORIGINAL
-George Benson ,Gilbert Gravy (serious cover and some serious
    groove,sticky)
-The essential Thelonious Monk, pure genius at work
            Chers ZG2003
ps i do not mean to be argumentative nor critical, but I fail to see
the connection between Jazz and Mod(is that a Paul Weller derivation? answer
    off list welcome)
