    Hello Music Lovas!

There's been lots of things happening around Switchstance during the
last weeks, so our newsletter had to take a break - not only because our
textmasta and science-dropper DJ Ses broke his knee on new year's day
and thus won't step into the arena for a while, but also because the
rest of the crew was on the road big time: among others at Air & Style
in Seefeld/A, Soulcity in Vienna/A, Midem in Cannes/F and the winter
ISPO in Munich/D... Switchstance run tings. But please read for
    yourself.

    Winter ISPO
Outright massive was this year's winter ISPO in Munich, where our
Ancient Astronauts spinned at the stand of our partner OP Europe (Ocean
Pacific) during the day - with support from our friend Jon Kennedy,
whose album for Grand Central Records is released in march and hereby
recommended warmly to all the beatheads out there - and during the
nights at one of the most beautiful and far-out art events of Munich.
For all those into modern, young art rooted in boardsports and
street-style, we recommend the website of Modart
    <http://www.modart.com/> www.modart.com. These parties, where
Switchstance rocked alongside DJ Chrome (Solid Pack), Jay Scarlett
(Spacek/!K7) and Jon Kennedy (Grand Central), will be remembered by all
those present. Many cheers to all crews involved!

    Servus again!
The upcoming weekend sees Tom Strauch visiting our Austrian neighbours
once more: On thursday, 13.2., Tom lets the Couch Club in Innsbruck
vibrate, before he spins at ASA – Excite Party Tour at Limo in St.
Gallenkirch/Vorarlberg , representing Switchstance on friday and
saturday. On sunday, Tom chills at the DJ Café in the Bierstindl with
the local crew and relaxed beats - genuine cake included! Thanks again
to the Boarders Palace team from Innsbruck for the spontaneous booking
    of this gig!

    Back to the valley
On friday, 21.2. we celebrate once more at our old homebase - the 45rpm
club in Wuppertal. Since DJ Ses will then still be bending his knee for
recreational purposes, Switchstance plays the label-night with a
threesome, consisting of Ancient Astronauts (Tom Strauch and Ingo Moell)
and Thury Tonarm. We're all stoked about the return to this nice place
and its people: <http://www.45rpm.de/> www.45rpm.de. On Saturday night,
the 22., Ancient Astronauts do their monthly club-night at the Hot Jazz
Club in Muenster - always worth a visit as well...

    Out! Out!
There's new recorded music from Switchstance, too: The next release in
its own right is the "Moving Forward EP", planned for march/april,
which, besides 4 new tracks from the Switchstance Massive, will contain
a remix by Greg Long of Citrona Recordings/Shadow Records
    <http://www.citrona.net/> www.citrona.net. Furthermore:
    - The label Bastard Jazz Records from Brooklyn/USA
<http://www.bastardjazz.com/> www.bastardjazz.com is just releasing the
new 12" by Jugoe, which features dope remixes by our man Protassov and
    Q-Burns' Abstract Message.
    - On the 10.3., our friends at Poets Club Records
    <http://www.poetsclubrec.com/> www.poetsclubrec.com from Germany release
the compilation "Touch", which has been developed in cooperation with
the well-known restaurant "Touch" in Miami and compiled and mixed by the
original Touch-resident J.P.Rigaud. Not only the CDs artwork is well
done, the music is fine, too: Among giants like Kyoto Jazz Massive,
Micatone, Dublex Inc., Chicken Lips and Eastenders, our Deela boys are
to heard with their "African Chant".
    - The Kriztal Entertainment <http://www.kriztal.com/> www.kriztal.com
label from Miami/USA has released "Ocean Drive Magazine - The
Collection" to celebrate the 10-year-anniversary of the magazine. "The
Collection" combines names such as Dzihan & Kamien, Quantic, De-Phazz,
Minus 8 and Gotan Project together with Deela and again the "African
    Chant".
    - Fattest snowboard stylistics are to be experienced in the new
Methodmag "v3.2 - Down With Da Mullet". Drew Stevenson and his crew
    <http://www.methodmag.com/> www.methodmag.com have produced another
video buzzing with styles and tricks as well as featuring Switchstance
music once again: The Jon Kennedy remix of Protassovs "Gorilla".
