The o.g. Ayro track - "Let this" on Omoa is Ayro on vocals...
I think he actually sings most of his stuff. I just returned from Detroit
and ran into the crew out there and got my hands on a few cdr's from Ayro,
    and it is sounding hot.
    As some of us wait...

oh yeah, baby. ayro was THE highlight of DEMF 2001 and i consider myself
terribly lucky to have seen him perform live twice that weekend. i was even
able to video one of the shows (albeit through a faulty camcorder) and have
been coming back to those songs i heard again and again. live, the man is
totally mindblowing. my first encounter with him was amazing: i walked into
the room as he was getting ready, and then out of nowhere, BOOM! - this guy
is rocking the brokest of beats while playing fat chords on a rhodes with
his right hand, mixing the track with his left, and singing over his own
sampled harmonies *at the same time*. of course, it helps that every tune
was a killer. the guy just has an amazing ear for melody, harmony and
rhythm. in fact, why haven't i booked him to play at my club yet?!

    on the phone now,
