Well, it's been a beautiful 80 degree day in Los Angeles, and its gonna be a
hot nite of jazz, funk, hip hop, and nu soul at the Temple Bar, 1026 W.
    Wilshire, Santa Monica.

The 10-piece MGA hits at 9:00 sharp, loading the stage with an amazing array
of musical talent. The vocalists are lead by 23 year old Virgin -EMD
Recording Artist Kelli Stanton, newest member Carletha Walls (Christina
Aguilera, Nikka Costa) and MC Kia.

The band features Herman Matthews (Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power) on drums,
Louis Taylor (Donnie, Mariah Carey, Ray Charles) on the woodwinds, Joe
Swafford on the bass, amazing percussionist Stewart Killen of Orgone,
guitarist Aaron Duffy, and DJ Theory on the 1's and 2's, not to mention
yours truly on the Fender Rhodes and Clavinet.

BUT, we're just getting started! After the MGA, you'll be able to enjoy one
of the hottest local MC's, Abstract Rude. Famous for his work with Project
Blowed, The Freestyle Fellowship, and his collaborations with Aceyalone, his
set will put you right at the epicenter of LA's world-famous underground
    hiphop scene.

Finally, the main event of the night! Arguably the hottest independent act
in LA, Cody ChesnuTT has made major waves in the music scene this year. He
has been featured in Rolling Stone, Spin, Vibe, Straight No Chaser and on
MTV. He is getting ready to embark on a nationwide tour opening for Grammy
winner Erykah Badu and the Roots.

So, you can spend 20 bucks and see him at The House of Blues later this
month, or catch him for half that in the intimate, incense-sweetened air of
    the cozy Temple Bar!

Doors open @ 8:00. $10, 21 and over, full bar, menu.
